Thursday

Start at 12 am and leave by 7pm.

Tony and myself layed out all the cheese and hams, in the morning and of the invited 50 about 45 managed to trickle in over the next few hours.

Michael Rose and Andrew - fisher people

Paul & Liz with their daughter -moved back from Jersey.

Ian entertained his wife Sue and a captive Tony.

There's Paula, Derek a solicitor, Silvio the owner of the Grand, Pat my GP, and her husband's bald head: Robert the internal medical-man.

All thought the reds were great : some big Barolos, creamy Constantia, Bordeaux blends etc.
Only one wine was too brown, and had to be thrown away.

And we only opened eight bottles of white wine for the difficult ones.

No bottles of the one hundred quiescent champagnes were opened.

Tony checks the situation at 5pm: the food's just about gone and the wine is disappearing fast.

And Patrick, the owner of Gozo's premier award winning restaurant, It Tmun, thought that they weren't too bad either.
But he had to get back to work that evening.
